Water privatization is a global, two sided issue, with each side having convincing arguments. Those who support the privatization of water believe that privately owned water will increase access in developing countries through foreign investment. Those who are anti privatization believe that if water is privatized prices will go up as corporations are trying to make money. In my opinion water should be publicly owned because water is a human right and having privatized water in practice leads to increased prices for consumers. I do recognize the benefits of privatized water but I believe that the cons of privatization outweigh the pros.
Very recently United States president Donald Trump put tariffs on steel and aluminum from European countries, Canada, Mexico. The tariffs are an example of protectionism in the context of foreign policy. Nuclear Non-Proliferation treaties have been signed by most countries in the world, with only a select few such as North Korea and Israel not being signed on. The treaties are unfair in letting a select few countries (countries in the UNSC) possess nuclear weapons while actively fighting against those that try to obtain nuclear weapons. I'm not saying that we should all have nuclear weapons, but I would rather live in a world with every country having nuclear weapons then only a select few superpowers. Because if everyone had nuclear weapons wars wouldn't really happen with the threat of mutually assured destruction. I believe the world should be nuclear weapon free and that non nuclear proliferation should change to nuclear disarmament.
